Bitcoin: The peer to peer currency.

Some people may of heard of a currency called Bitcoin, some people think bit coin is associated with a large amount of criminal, and some people know as the gold of the internet, one way or the other the trade in Bitcoin is only getting larger in popularity.

I am not going to go into the complicated ins and outs of Bitcoin, the simple idea of it is, there are miner with powerful computer putting in 'ticket' to win a 'block', as time goes on there is less and less rewards and blocks are harder to win, the cap is at 21m Bitcoins. Unlike any other currency, it is divided into eight decimal places.

This will show you the basics to getting Bitcoins, and getting involved in a good community along the way, first you will need to get a Bitcoin wallet, which is basically a peer-to-peer software, the two I recommend to start which is official bitcoin client and Multibit, a multiple wallet management application:

Bitcoin Qt is takes a long time to update, as it downloads the whole data need and it is not simple when it comes to moving and restoring back up of wallets, but it has it own built in encryption. Information about that can be found on the bitcoin wiki pages.
Multi bit is a ready to roll out system, it is quick at updating, but it does not have a built in encryption, and requires encryption software, but wallet files are easy to define and move.

Wallets can be hacked and need to be encrypted, if the wallet file is not encrypted and the file is on a hackable computer, it can be hacked, and Bitcoins can be stolen if a wallet is stolen. also note, if a wallet is lost, the Bitcoin in that wallet will be lost forever also.

Now that you have your wallet, you would like to add some fund to them accounts, there are many website where you can buy and sell Bitcoins for your local currency, but the websites I will show you below give away free Bitcoins, mostly donated kindly and other threw advertisements, and some a bit of both.

Skude - This website is a good site to bookmark, it contains links to six website with timer to keep track of when you can go to the website again, three of the links can be done every hour and three can be done every day. It is best to sign up for all the websites visiting if you can to have control over over your payment options. Also look out for the free redeem code for PeerBet that appear every now and again on Daily Bitcoin.

CanIHasBitcoins - Get Bitcoins every half hour.

FaucetBTC - Get Bitcoins every half hour.

CoinVisitorChat - Get Bitcoins randomly while talking to people, this also a great place to get information from other Bitcoins user, there are quite few miner that also visit this chat room, so if you wish to find out more about mining this is the place to hang out. This chat room is run on donations from the community, if you own some Bitcoins, and want to share the love;

Adfly: Earn money from sharing links.

A guide to adf.ly and using adf.ly.

http://adf.ly

What is adfly?
For those who have never heard of adfly, adfly is a link shrinking service, which creates a small link that forwards to a website of your choice, a 5 second advert is show before reaching the target website.
When someone clicks on your shortened link the advert you display for 5 seconds earns you money.

To anyone who is looking to earn money online and have tried surveys and pay to click service, this is the best service Is the best I have seen. You are more likely to earn money via sharing link than pay to click without any financial investment.

What do I need to join and use adfly?
Anyone can use adfly, it is free to join and requires no initial financial investment.

There are three methods to withdraw the money you have earned, you will need one of these account:

What is the best way to use adfly?

Social Networking: There are many ways to share these links with people, I have read a lot of different guides on adfly, and many of them suggest sharing link on social networking website, such as facebook and twitter. This only works if you have a lot of friends on your list and not all of them will be interested in the link. I would also like to add that facebook only allows adf.ly links, not the other two link options to shrink to.

Websites: If you have your own website with a high amount of traffic, you can add these links to your website in a not so intrusive manor, for example if your website has a download section, you could apply adfly adverts just before the download, many people do not mind viewing an advert for a free software download.

Youtube: Many peoples guides talk about using youtube to display adfly links. I can only see this as good as the link offers and the video itself, for example if you are doing free game reviews, you will find people are more likely to click on a link to play the game themselves. Youtube can be way of inciting people to click your links if used correctly.

Forums: Some forums allow the use of adf.ly links, the best example of this is the Minecraft forum. Game mods and maps that are made by the public and shared on the forum, they are shared using adfly links and file uploading websites.

Blogging: If you have a blog, you can share your adfly links in your blogs. Like I have done above, with the three payment methods above. Blogs are good to share because they are included in google searches.

What shouldn't I do with adfly?

There are a few rules that come with using adfly. Read the terms of use section for more information on this, if you are using another advert service like google adsense, some of the terms can clash with each other.

The big rules that have mainly effected me while looking for methods of sharing links (May be different for you) are:
  1. Do not use adsence on blogger is you have adfly links (youtube seems fine), this is not allowed.
  2. Do not create an adfly loops that links back around.
  3. Do not link to explicit material.
  4. Do not use links on pay to click sites.
  5. Do not use links with clicking pools or entice people with prize pools.
  6. Do not trick into clicking a link, the person must want to click the link.
  7. Do not use bots to add to view count.
Where can I find out more?

I have searched the internet for a few ebooks which can help further if you wish to find out more information on sharing links with other people, much of the information in these books I have mentioned above, but there is more information out there.
